General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the business relationship between Hamburg Coding School and the customer (hereinafter referred to as “customer”, “participant”, “course participant” or “user”).
If separate usage agreements exist for specific products, these shall apply additionally.
All services provided by Hamburg Coding School are exclusively based on these GTC in their version valid at the time of use. Deviating terms shall only apply if agreed in text form.
Scope
The subject of the contract is the organization and delivery of courses, events, trainings and workshops (hereinafter used synonymously).
Course content, start date, duration, location and schedule are specified in the respective course descriptions published on the Hamburg Coding School website or provided via email.
Fees
Participation in courses is subject to a fee. The applicable course fee is stated on the website or in individual offers, including applicable VAT.
The course fee is due at the beginning of the course. Payment can be made via invoice, credit card through the website booking form, or bank transfer to the following account:

For multi-day courses, installment payments may be agreed.
Prices listed on the website are subject to change and errors.
Registration
Participation is open to all interested persons. If specific prerequisites apply, these must be fulfilled.
Registration can be made via email or through the booking form on the website.
Registration for the “Full-Stack Web Development” program requires an application via the website and a subsequent interview.
Individual training is arranged following a consultation. In-house or corporate training can be booked via email.
Participant numbers are limited. Registrations are processed in the order received.
The contract is concluded upon written or email confirmation / invoice issued by Hamburg Coding School.
Scope of Services
Course fees for open courses include:
- Provision of configured software
- Delivery of course content
- Course materials
- Access to Wi-Fi
- Certificate (if applicable)
For in-house and corporate training, individual agreements apply.
Travel, accommodation and catering costs are not included.
Hamburg Coding School may engage third parties to provide services.
Right to Modify
Hamburg Coding School reserves the right to update course content and structure in line with current developments.
Dates and locations may be changed for organizational reasons.
If insufficient registrations are received or the course cannot be conducted due to circumstances beyond control, Hamburg Coding School is not obliged to hold the course.
In such cases, participants will be informed promptly (no later than five working days before start in case of minimum participant shortfall) and payments will be refunded.
Participants may be offered rebooking options.
Instructors may be replaced with equally qualified persons.
In cases of force majeure (e.g. pandemic), courses may be conducted online.
Cancellation, Withdrawal and Rescheduling
Cancellations and rescheduling must be submitted in text form or via the ticket system.
Cancellation
- Up to 14 days before course start: free of charge, full refund
- Less than 14 days: 50% of course fee
- 7 days or less: 100% of course fee
Rescheduling
- Free of charge up to 14 days before course start
- Less than 14 days: cancellation terms apply
Any applicable cancellation/rescheduling fees will be credited toward the newly booked course, reducing its price accordingly.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Substitute Participant
A substitute participant may be provided at any time free of charge.
Alternative Course After Cancellation
Participants may attend another course with credit of cancellation fees.
Cancellation by Provider
If Hamburg Coding School cancels a course, fees will be refunded. Further claims are excluded.
Proof of Lower Damage
The customer may prove that no or lower damages were incurred.
Course Repetition
Participants may repeat a course free of charge if it is offered again, subject to availability. Cancelled or unpaid courses are excluded.
Responsibility
Participants are responsible for selecting suitable courses. Hamburg Coding School offers advisory support.
Courses are prepared carefully, but no liability is assumed for outcomes or application of knowledge.
Participants must behave respectfully. Violations may lead to exclusion without refund.
Liability
Hamburg Coding School is not liable for travel costs, accommodation or loss of earnings.
Liability exists only in cases of intent or gross negligence.
Participants are liable for damages they cause.
No liability is assumed for personal belongings or technical damage (e.g. laptops, software issues, viruses).
No guarantee is given for achieving training success.
Right of Withdrawal
Customers have a statutory right of withdrawal:
Withdrawal Period
14 days from contract conclusion.
Exercise of Withdrawal
Notify Hamburg Coding School via email or letter.
Consequences
Payments will be refunded within 14 days.
If services began during the withdrawal period, a proportional fee applies.
Early Expiry
The right expires if services are fully performed upon request.
Copyright
All materials are protected by copyright.
No reproduction or distribution allowed.
Third-party materials remain under their respective copyrights.
Public code examples follow their respective licenses.
Recording during courses is not permitted.
Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the privacy policy.
Data is transmitted securely.
Customers consent to data processing upon booking.
Confidentiality must be maintained by both parties.
Miscellaneous
These GTC may be adjusted if necessary due to unforeseen developments.
Invalid provisions do not affect the validity of the remaining terms.
